"In my previous role at Aker BP, I focused on innovative ways of working, particularly within cross-functional teams that spanned across business areas. I also emphasized the significance of understanding what transformation truly demands in terms of execution, change capability, and perseverance. I consider this as valuable experience that I can contribute to the work of the Energy Society committee, where adaptability and collaboration with others are key to a successful energy transition,"says Hellegaard.

Excited to shape the programme

Also, the Technical Committee, and Innovation Jury has secured a solid project manager with Gunn Gadeholt from Sval Energi. background from oil and gas – and with various technical, as well as project management and leadership roles.

"It has always been exciting to participate in ONS, so for me, it was an exciting opportunity to be allowed to come on the inside and be a part of shaping the program content. It's also a great chance to expand my network and meet people from various parts of the energy industry both locally and globally," says, Gadeholt.

No geographical boundaries

Elin A. Isaksen, Communication leader from Equinor, brings a different skill set to the table with a background in journalism, political science, and history. She views ONS as an opportunity to create meaningful forums for in-depth discussions about the complexities of energy transition. She emphasizes her motivation, saying;

“I've already been learning new things everyday during the short time I've been working here, and it's especially enjoyable to work more internationally than I have in recent years. The energy transition knows no geographical boundaries; quite the opposite," she explains.

Isaksen will be heading the work creating the Energy Agenda report,  supporting the ONS Conference programme preparations, and also content and insight throughout the year, cementing ONS as a driver for the energy debate and transition.

A unique secondment opportunity

To ONS the secondment opportunity is a unique and highly appreciated way to further expand and grow as a global energy forum. In addition to the three ladies, Gunn, Gunn-Elin and Elin, Nora Andersen is also seconded from DNO. The 21-year-old is leading the ONS Young work, which not only includes the ONS 2024 programme, but also a Young Professional network arena, ONS Young MESH and not to forget, ONS Young Leaders.

“I could not be happier with the group of people our supporting companies have chosen to share with us for the time leading up to ONS 2024. They bring expertise and experience we don’t have, and they also make us in ONS feel even closer connected to the energy industry,”says Leif Johan Sevland, CEO, ONS Foundation.

He highlights how important the support from the companies Sval Energi, Aker BP, Equinor and DNO is, and what it can mean, not only for the individual, but also for the company when the secondment returns.

“We like to think of ONS as a university really, the event itself, but also in the work leading up. We are constantly on search for the best voices, the inspiring leaders, those that dare to provoke and make us think, both close to home, but especially globally. To be able to work in that environment is quite unique and gives you something new to learn every day. So, we believe, and hope, that our secondments this time around will learn a lot, and bring that back “home” when ONS 2024 is over,” he adds.
