With more than 1,000 exhibitors and an extensive conference programme across several arenas, ONS once again brought together people from across industries, sectors and countries.

“We are extremely pleased with this year’s ONS. To welcome 69,374 participants from 92 nations is a fantastic result, but what makes me particularly proud is the energy and engagement we have seen throughout these four days. The halls have been buzzing, the conference arenas have been full of important conversations, and people have come here ready to meet, listen, challenge each other and do business,” says Leif Johan Sevland, President and CEO of the ONS Foundation.
169 members of press from 17 countries were accredited for the event.
This year’s theme, Courage, provided a common thread throughout ONS 2026, at a time when the global energy landscape is marked by geopolitical uncertainty, concerns about energy security and the need to accelerate technological development and the energy transition.
“ONS is first and foremost a meeting place. The world is facing difficult choices, and bringing people together across countries, industries and perspectives is more important than ever. Seeing so many people use ONS to build relationships, share ideas and find new opportunities shows why this meeting place matters,” says Sevland.
ONS 2026 took place in Stavanger from 24 to 27 August.
The next ONS will be held 28 to 31 August 2028.
