When we open the gates to ONS 2014, many changes will have taken place in the exhibition area. The increase in actual exhibition space is as much as 2800 m², to a total of 23 907 m². Aisles, cafes and other facilities are not included in these figures.
State of the art exhibition hall
A brand new exhibition hall, Hall E (see illustration above) will be completed this summer, with a total exhibition space of over 5000 m². This is a hall built especially for exhibitions, with an ultramodern design and tailor-made facilities. This new building replaces the halls previously known as Halls E, H and L, and represents a major improvement of the ONS venue.
From ice hockey stadium to exhibition hall
Stavanger’s ice hockey team Oilers usually plays in the DNB Arena. But on August 25 this will be Hall O, an important part of the ONS 2014 exhibition area. This modern venue can not only boast of 1000 m² of exhibition space, but will also accommodate many meeting rooms, our new press centre and an improved registration area.
To provide even more space in 2014, a temporary exhibition hall will also be erected between DNB Arena and Hall M – this will be called Hall N.
Exhibitions in the former conference halls
As the conference area will now be relocated to the new Clarion Hotel Energy, 1000 m² of exhibition space in the former conference halls in Hall K will become available. This will now include the Jobs & Education Zone.
Record-breaking demand for stand space
For the first time in the history of ONS, applications for exhibition space have exceeded 30 000 m². This means that the waiting lists to exhibit at ONS have never been longer – even though the actual exhibition space has now increased by 2800 m².
