ONS 2016 led to signed business contracts

Newly started Norwegian company Safe Yards has entered into a partnership with Dutch yard Keppel Verolme after meetings at ONS 2016. Together they compete for a contract on Statoil’s Johan Sverdrup project.

The contract they are competing for is modifications on Haven, a jack-up accommodation rig which will be used on the Johan Sverdrup field.

ONS exhibitor Safe Yards is part of BR Industrier, and Keppel Verolme is part of Keppel Offshore & Marine, a worldwide network of yards.

“This new partnership is good news and a great recognition for a new company like us. It represents the possibility for employment of people in the Stavanger region. Also, this demonstrates once again what an important meeting place ONS is for the oil and gas industry,” says Odd-Magnar Johnsen, VP Drilling and Rig Projects at Safe Yards.
