The ONS Technical Sessions is the leading arena for technologists to share information, highlight innovation and gain competitive advantage through new solutions.

The Technical Committee – a selection of the energy industry’s best and brightest – have used their experience to identify bottlenecks and unsolved challenges on the NCS.

Managing Director of Wintershall DEA in Norway, Alv Bjørn Solheim, chairs the Technical Committee. His goal is to inspire the attendants of Technical Sessions so that technical challenges are met and shared.

– Technical Sessions is an important arena where you gain insight into technical solutions tested by operators on the NCS but also internationally. It is also an arena to meet key market players at the same arena, says Solheim.

The committee chooses the themes from what they find most interesting and the latest technological solutions in the industry. They give direction for the applications within the various categories, but are also open for new solutions, so that the Technical Sessions has an innovative and diversified programme.

– For ONS 2020 we expect a lot of interesting presentations about digitalisation and how the industry answers the environmental challenge. Continuous learning is central for everything we do in our committee work, says Solheim.
