Nasir K. Al‐Naimi is the Vice President of Petroleum Engineering & Development, of Saudi Aramco. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1985. During his early career with Saudi Aramco, Mr. Naimi joined the Petroleum Engineering Professional Development Program, and then he assumed various supervisory positions in Production Engineering of major oil fields including Safaniya, Zuluf and Marjan offshore fields. In 1994, he was assigned as an Operations Superintendent for Zuluf Offshore Producing facilities, then Abu Ali Producing facilities. In 1997, Mr. Naimi joined Crude Oil Sales & Marketing and Product Sales & Marketing until 2000, when he became Senior Marketing Manager of Product Sales & Marketing Department. He took on several assignments as Manager of this department until December 2001, when he relocated to New York to take up the position of Manager, Marketing Services for Saudi Petroleum International Inc. (SPII). In 2003, Mr. Naimi returned to Saudi Arabia to work as Manager of Marine Department until 2004, when he became Manager of Mechanical Services Shops Department. In 2007, he was made Manager of the Terminal Department and took on several acting assignments as Executive Director of Industrial Services. In April 2009, Mr. Naimi was appointed General Manager of Southern Area Producing then, in July 2010, he was appointed as Executive Director of Pipelines, Distribution & Terminals. In May 2012, Mr. Naimi was appointed Vice President of Northern Area Oil Operations which oversees all oil and gas fields in the northern part of Saudi Arabia, in addition to the Shaybah field in the Rub’ Al‐Khali desert. In September 2016, he was appointed Vice President, Petroleum Engineering & Development. Mr. Naimi has taken part in several Leadership Training Programs, including the President’s Leadership Challenge in 1998, the London Business School Senior Executive Program in 2004 and the Asian Business & Culture Program in 2008. In 2017, Mr Naimi was appointed to the Board of Directors of Saudi Aramco Upstream Technology Company (SAUTC) as Vice President. He is also a Board Member of the Arabian Drilling Company (ADC). Previously, he was a Board Member of Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Limited (SAMREF) 2011‐2014.
