Oslo Innovation Week: Partnering in on renewables

ONS, Equinior and Scatec Solar  jointly hosted  a seminar «Exploring the future of renewables» at Oslo Innovation Week focusing on  innovations and joint projects within solar and wind power.

As the worlds population grows and becomes more prosperous, there is a need for more energy to heat and light homes, fuel transport and power the economy. At the same time, we need to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases.

Equinor is investing in technologies, innovation and projects to advance solutions for renewable energy. Scatec Solar is developing, building and operating solar power plants across emerging markets around the globe. The two companies are also collaborating on exciting solar projects in Argentina and Brazil, pushing new solutions and innovative business ideas in the solar market.
Key players
The seminar at Oslo Innovation Week Thursday 26 th September higlighted the two exciting key players within the renewables market. Equinor and Scatec Solar both gave updates on how they are working to develop reliable and innovative new energy solutions that are both green and cost-efficient.
In addition, IHS Markit kicked off the event, providing an update on the renewables market and shared some future perspectives on likely market developments.
ONS Foundation is getting ready to host another ONS Conference and Exhibiton next year. The theme of the conference is Together, addressing all aspects of energy. ONS strives to be a neutral platform for open discussions, bringing together people with diverging views.
