“To many of our young visitors, ONS is their first meeting with a future employer. We want to give students the opportunity to meet and engage with the energy industry – our hope is to inspire them and promote the endless career opportunities that are available to them”, says Cato Meling, Head of Conference and ONS Young.
ONS Young – a meeting place for the next generation in the industry
ONS Young is a conference arena with a four-day programme for pupils at lower and upper secondary school, university students and young professionals in the industry. The idea behind this conference arena is to create a meeting place for the next generation of energy professionals.
“Attracting young, talented minds is vital to drive innovation and transformation in the oil and energy industry. ONS Young is the perfect arena to meet industry representatives, other young professionals and establish ties with people you could be working with in the future”, Leif Johan Sevland, ONS President and CEO says.
Meet company representatives from ONS Young Partners
The oil and energy industry needs young people from every educational background – and we want to provide students with information about the wide variety of opportunities the industry has to offer.
Learn about the diversity of the energy industry and career opportunities, get valuable insight from industry experts and meet HR professionals and other company representatives from Equinor, Shell, Wintershall, ConocoPhillips, Lyse, DNB and AkerBP.
“The companies will be present in the Young Lounge area throughout the ONS week – to answer questions, give valuable insights about the energy industry, and inform about skills and competences needed in the future. Get to know the companies – and hear more about the educational paths that could lead to a future career in the industry”, Meling says.
