Let’s talk about clean energy and renewables

Sustainability, clean energy and renewables will all be highlighted at our conference arenas and the ONS Exhibition – including the ONS Conference, Centre Court, Technical Sessions, Renewable Markets and Clean Energy Park.

ONS brings together key players in the international energy industry, sustainability  leaders  and relevant political leaders – to discuss current and future energy perspectives. As a world leading meeting place and discussion fora for the energy industry, we aim to promote the entire energy mix, as well as facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration across industries.

Innovation starts at the ONS Conference
The ONS Conference opens with reflections on how the industry and society at large should meet future energy needs. Based on this year’s ONS theme “Innovate”– speakers will address  how the  industry can leverage technological  innovations,  new  business models, alternative energy sources  and  leadership  strategies to adapt to a low carbon future.

Some of the featured speakers at the ONS Conference are  Lise  Kingo , CEO and Executive Director of U.N. Global Compact, Adnan Amin, Director General, IRENA, Siri Kalvig, CEO, Nysnø Klimainvesteringer and Thomas Thune Andersen, Chairman of the Board, Ørsted.

Energy in future societies at Centre Court
The demand for cleaner energy by the global community is already affecting the markets – and the industry is stepping up its game. How can sustainability be a business advantage, and are oil and gas companies on track with the energy transformation?

We will focus on energy in future societies at the 2018 Centre Court – a conference arena dedicated to clean energy topics. Get your expert updates on energy related academic and political topics through the four-day programme. This includes in-depth interviews with industry leaders, lunch battles on timely and relevant issues, and more traditional sessions.

Some of the confirmed speakers are Georg Kell, Chairman, Arabesque Partners and Founding Executive Director of U.N. Global Compact, Bjørn K. Haugland, Chief Sustainability Officer, DNV GL, Jens Ulltveit-Moe, CEO, UMOE, Bård Vegard Solhjell, CEO, WWF and Glen Peters, Research Director, CICERO.

Innovate a cleaner energy world at Technical Sessions
With growing energy demands and rising costs, the oil and gas sector needs new technological solutions for greenfield developments, cutting emissions, extending life of current installations, and improve uptime and efficiency. ONS Technical Sessions is the leading arena for technologists to share information, highlight innovation and  solutions that are directly related to some of the challenges facing the industry.

Learn about opportunities in offshore wind
ONS Renewable Markets, in cooperation with NORWEP and Greater Stavanger, is a conference arena dedicated to promoting opportunities in offshore wind. What does it take to make offshore wind competitive and what lessons can be learned from the offshore oil and gas industry? These and other issues related to the offshore wind industry will be discussed at Renewable Markets Tuesday 28 August. Some of the participants are Wind Europe, Ørsted, Equinor, Shell and Danish Wind Industry Association.

Clean Energy Park – sold out!
ONS is committed to present the diversity of businesses, technologies and energy forms related to clean energy. At the ONS Clean Energy Park, you can meet companies that develop energy with a reduced environmental footprint, and learn how technology transfer between different sectors can lead to sustainable energy solutions.

At the Clean Energy Park, you can also visit “Next Energy” by Innovation Norway. This pavilion will showcase the 11 most promising Norwegian companies that focus on clean energy technology, offshore renewables, new energy solutions and more environmental friendly production of oil and gas. Next Energy is tailored to companies that focus on UN’s Sustainability Development Goal 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.
