Monday 27 August at 09.30, the Crown Prince will visit the ONS Exhibition, where he will be given a guided walking tour. The Crown Prince will meet some of the exhibiting companies, accompanied by ONS CEO and President, Leif Johan Sevland, Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Terje Søviknes, and the Mayor of Stavanger, Christine Sagen Helgø.
Following the tour of the exhibition, the Crown Prince will attend the Opening Ceremony at the ONS Conference.
“It is a great honour for us to have HRH Crown Prince Haakon present at the Opening Ceremony to give the inauguration speech,” says Leif Johan Sevland, President and CEO of the ONS Foundation.
The ONS Foundation is grateful to be under the patronage of HM King Harald. The members of the Norwegian Royal Family were quick to recognise the importance of the activities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf when oil and gas was discovered.
HM King Harald, who was then Crown Prince of Norway, soon became patron of ONS. As a result of this commitment, a member of the Royal Family has been present at every ONS since 1974.
