Green value, Jens Ulltveit-Moe, Founder and CEO of UMOE

How do you invest in green energy? How do we create green energy? In this episode, Silvija Seres from Lørn Tech talks to Jens Ulltveit-Moe about the production of bio ethanol, solar energy and renewable energy.

Jens Ulltveit-Moe, 75, founder and owner of Umoe, established 1984. Umoe, a Norwegian industrial group with 5.000 employees, is engaged in renewable energy and services. Umoe Bioenergy produces ethanol from sugar cane in Brazil, REC Silicon, where Umoe is main shareholder, produces polysilicon in United States and China, and Fornebu Lumber Company has logging and a sawmill in Canada. Mr Ulltveit-Moe is chairman of Cicero, University of Oslo’s Institute for research, leader for Norway 203040, an association of the leading Norwegian industries interested in active combating climate change, and a former president of NHO, Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise, and Norwegian Shipowners’ Association.
