Best Stand awards: Wintershall and IGUS

We congratulate Wintershall and IGUS as winners of the Best Stand awards at ONS 2018!

Finn E. Krogh, Museum Director, Norwegian Petroleum Museum and Chair of the Best Stand   jury presented the awards on stage.

“On behalf of the jury I can assure you that it’s been an exciting and difficult task to point out the winners. As an overall impression from our side the exhibitions reflect new optimism within the industry – and emphasize the importance of creating god meeting places. We have seen a great variety of high quality stands and presentations”.

Wintershall won the award for stands larger than 50 square meters. The jury said the following about the stand:

“An open and inviting space, combining business and pleasure. Well designed with a creative use of materials, including the green organic roof. In addition, the exhibition is a starting point for tours visiting their project partners”.

IGUS won the award for stands 50 square meters or smaller. The jury said the following about the stand:

“Small explosion of plastics, cords and censors. A candy store of smart, moveable and reliable solutions to the industry – presented by enthusiastic people”.

Best Stand nominees:

Aker BP – a well-organised exhibition focusing on the company’s efforts to collect and share big data – giving us an authentic real-time experience. This provides the data the digitalization of offshore operations.

Shell– a Shell-colored stand combining a brief company history with the long-term energy perspective. A visually coherent exhibition presenting future energy scenarios, under the slogan of “Pathway to Paris!”

Lyse – the concept of balancing energy communicated through digital presentations and well qualified staff. The core of the message being underlined by the balance artist in the green suit!
Beckhoff – a smooth and professional stand showcasing a wide range of equipment and control systems for the process industry.

Equinor– Oil, gas, wind and sun – and a new name. This is the overall message communicated through an accessible and well-staffed exhibition. High quality live presentations and visual installations.

Norwegian Petroleum Directorate/Ministry of Petroleum and Energy– once again an original exhibition, designed as a city square. A playful and inviting space using historical references to emphasize core values.

Oceaneering – presenting their core technologies using their young professionals to demonstrate real time operations with sophisticated equipment.

Subsea 7– welcomes us to the Subsea 7 boat! Under the slogan “Team up for innovation” they offer an extensive display of the company’s services and products.
