An update on ONS and COVID-19

We are all experiencing the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus. It brings uncertainty for all of us. However, the ONS team is still working hard to create the best possible ONS 2020.

During the last couple of weeks, the whole world has been turned upside down. The changes are coming so fast, it is sometimes hard to grasp.

In ONS, we are monitoring the situation closely. It is demanding to work in these uncertain times. But I can assure you we are still working hard to create a unique and inspiring venue for the energy community.

The ONS team has lined up a great programme and exhibitors from all over the world and all parts of the industry have signed up. I truly hope that we will be able to welcome everyone to Stavanger from 31 August to 3 September. At the same time, we know that preparations take time and demand resources. Therefore, we have informed all our exhibitors that we are extending our deadlines for stand design and orders.

For now, no one knows the future outcome of the COVID-19 virus pandemic. The measures implemented by the Norwegian government are valid until 13 April. Nationally and internationally. We are all in this together. And we will all overcome this together.

We still have five months until ONS 2020, and I truly hope the situation will be different then. Perhaps ONS 2020 could be an important contribution to the normalisation of our everyday life?

Nevertheless, the health and safety of our guests is, and always will be, our number one priority.

Do not hesitate to contact my team if you have any questions or inquiries.

In the meantime, feel free to check out our new ONS Energy Talks series where you can find video streams, podcasts and blog posts from top experts within the energy community.

Take care of yourself and your dear ones!

Best wishes from,
