“The exhibition halls are filling up nicely, including the new Hall 6. We have already passed 2014 in terms of sold exhibition area. Luckily we were able to expand the exhibition area with the new hall this time, so the total area in 2016 will be 27 000 square metres” says Jon Are Rørtveit, VP Commercial Director at ONS.
Why do you think so many companies have booked stand space, despite the downturn in the industry?
“I think the industry sees the need for a meeting place where we can discuss the challenges and find solutions, especially in times like these. When the companies have to prioritise, it seems like they choose established events that have proven their value.”
More features. More content. Better value for money.
The main theme for ONS 2016 is Transition. The theme addresses a number of topics relevant to the energy world.
According to Jon Are Rørtveit, the plan for ONS 2016 is to enhance all the positive things ONS is known for, and continue to develop the event:
“One example is the new feature, Technical Sessions, which means we can offer even more conference content to ONS’ visitors. It also provides an arena where the industry can present new solutions, discuss technological challenges and learn about contract opportunities.”
