It’s a well-known phenomenon: planes get full when it’s time for ONS. But now SAS has adjusted their flight schedules.
“We’ll be having 16-17 flights between Stavanger and Oslo on those days. The last departure to Oslo has been moved to later in the evening, at 10 p.m. That way people attending ONS can make the most of the day before flying back,” says Ann Elin Ringseth-Hanssen, SAS Key Account Manager.
The 10 o’clock evening flight from Stavanger to Oslo will be on 25, 26 and 27 August.
Extra flight from Aberdeen
SAS is also adding an extra daily flight between Stavanger and Aberdeen on 25, 26 and 28 August. That means a total of 19 flights between the two oil capitals during ONS.
“For ONS this is very important. We know that more people want to come here, and now it will be easier for our visitors to choose the days when the programme suits them best. Also, it’s often difficult to get accommodation during ONS, so we really appreciate the opportunity for people in the Oslo area to make day trips to ONS,” says Leif Johan Sevland, CEO and President of ONS.
Earlier this spring, SAS announced the opening of a non-stop route between Houston and Stavanger. This will start up just in time for ONS 2014.
