Lord Browne is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DEA, the Chairman of the Trustees of both the Tate and the QEII Prize for Engineering, and Chairman of the International Advisory Board of the Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford University.
He joined BP in 1966, and can look back on an impressive history in the company. Lord Browne became a member of the Board in 1992, and was Group Chief Executive from 1995 until 2007.

Lord Browne will speak in a plenary session on Tuesday 30 August about the future prospects on the Norwegian Shelf. He will address the NCS from a global perspective based on his extensive experience in the industry.
