Marit Victoria Wulff Andreassen is the ONS Artist for 2016
The theme for ONS 2016 is Transition, and is the inspiration for the ONS Artist for 2016, Marit Victoria Wulff Andreassen. Her artwork will be displayed – for the very first time in the ONS history – outdoors in the festival area in the harbour of Stavanger.
“The theme Transition, a floating movement from one condition to another – also including the green shift in the energy industry. This was something I easily could relate to and create something from,” says Andreassen.
New exhibition form for the ONS Artist
Her artwork will be produced in large scale and be exhibited outdoors in the festival area in the harbour of Stavanger during ONS 2016.
“We are very pleased Marit Victoria Wulff Andreassen agreed to become the ONS Artist for 2016, says Tonje Skålevik, Project Manager for the ONS Festival.
“We have usually exhibited the ONS art in art galleries or museums. This time we want to bring Andreassen’s art to the people. By displaying them in the festival area, we hope to make the ONS Artist available to a wider audience than the usual gallerygoers. This way it will be easier for the ONS visitors to make time for art in their busy days at the exhibition, conference and festival,” Skålevik states.
